Nature in Latvia

These photos were taken during my very first solo bikepacking trip through Latvia—most of them captured in the soft, golden light of early morning. Latvia is known among photographers for its uniquely beautiful natural light, and I experienced it firsthand as I cycled through quiet roads and misty fields at dawn.

Back during my photography studies at Falmouth University, I remember a guest lecturer once sharing how deeply inspired she was by Latvia’s atmosphere and light quality. That stayed with me. Years later, finding myself there with a camera and my bike, I finally understood what she meant.

These images are a tribute to those still, luminous mornings—where everything felt both new and familiar at once.
